Joe Mara

  • Mr. Mara is currently a consultant at Welcy Capital Advisors.

  • For the past 40+ years, Joe has worked extensively in the private client wealth advisory and asset management business, building and developing relationships with families and businesses in over 70 countries.

  • Over the course of the last decade, he has dedicated his time and life to servicing the financial needs of HNW and institutional clients in the USA, Latin America, and Asia specializing in alternative asset classes.

  • This is in addition to supporting many charitable organizations involving cancer research, homelessness, and education in the USA and Philippines.

Ricardo Zarak

  • Mr. Zarak is currently a consultant at Welcy Capital Advisors.

  • Mr. Zarak is a founding partner of Prival Bank and one of the leaders entrusted by the Board of Directors for structuring the Private Banking department, as well as the strategy for the division.  

  • Mr. Zarak is the Senior Vice President of Private Banking at Prival Bank, leading a team of 35 executives, and oversees more than $2 billion in assets while advising about 2,000 client relationships in Panama and Central America. He is in charge of the division responsible for managing Prival Investment Funds, a family of mutual funds with more than $350 million in assets under management.

  • (2016 – Present) President – Panamanian Chamber of Mutual Funds and Pension Funds (CASIP)

  • (2011– Present) Director – Prival Investment Funds 

  • (2014 – 2021) Director – Latinex Holdings  

  • (2014 – 2021) Director – Panama Stock Exchange 

  • (August 2007 – March 2010) Founder, along with 3 partners, of one of the first Multi-Family Offices and Investment Boutique firms in Panama, raising approximately $250 million in assets under advisory from a few high-net-worth Central American families.

  •  (2007 - 2021) Director – LATINCLEAR (Panama Central Securities Depository) 

  • (September 1998 – August 2007) While at Primer Banco del Istmo (Banistmo), he was in charge of a team of 10 brokers responsible for overseeing more than $1 billion in assets under the management of affluent Panamanian clientele.
